Few patterns have endured the way Willow has, and Wedgwood's version carries a quiet authority that's hard to ignore. Produced continuously from the late 19th century through the 1980s, the pattern's blue and white transfer print tells its familiar story of pagodas, bridges, and willow trees with real precision. Wedgwood made this coffee can and saucer at their Etruria works in England, confirmed by the impressed date marks and factory stamp to the base. The underglaze print remains crisp and vivid. There is a small chip to the rim of the cup, honest wear from a life well used, but the saucer is clean and the overall presence is lovely. Sits beautifully on a dresser or alongside other English blue and white.
