A beautifully proportioned English Victorian writing table, crafted in solid mahogany and dating to circa 1860. Timeless in its simplicity, the table features a rectangular top above two hand-dovetailed drawers fitted with classic turned brass knobs.
Raised on elegant, tapered legs terminating in the original brass cup casters, this refined piece showcases the understated craftsmanship of mid-19th century English furniture. The warm mahogany has developed a rich patina over more than 160 years, while the hand-cut dovetail joinery and pine secondary wood reflect traditional cabinetmaking techniques of the period.
Its versatile scale makes it equally suited as a writing desk, console table, dressing table, or hallway piece. The clean lines and restrained silhouette allow it to complement both traditional and contemporary interiors with ease.
