Few patterns have earned their place in British homes the way Blue Willow has, and this Queens China cup and saucer shows exactly why. The deep cobalt transfers are crisp and detailed, the pagoda, willow tree, and bridge scene rendered with real care.
Queens China produced this pattern during the 1920s, working within a long tradition of British potteries interpreting the iconic blue and white design that first captured the public's imagination in the late 18th century. It's a pattern that crossed every class of household and stayed.
Good antique condition consistent with over 100 years of age and use. The cup and saucer display light, age-appropriate wear, including minor wear to the gilt trim and a few small rim nicks to the cup, as shown in the photographs. These subtle imperfections are commensurate with age and do not detract from the piece’s charm or displayability. Please review all photographs carefully for details of condition.
Display it solo or let it anchor a growing Blue Willow collection.
