Somewhere between kitchen tool and decorative object, Victorian jelly moulds occupy a wonderfully odd corner of antique collecting. Dating to around 1880, this ceramic mould would have been a staple of the Victorian table, used to turn blancmange, jellies, and other wobbly confections into something genuinely impressive. The fluted, petal-like interior creates a beautifully structured form once unmoulded, the kind of result that made Victorian entertaining feel theatrical.

The ceramic construction is solid and well-made, typical of the period when these moulds were produced to last. A little age-related wear is present, which is exactly what you'd expect from a piece that was actually used and loved in a Victorian kitchen.

Works just as well on a shelf or dresser as it does back in service.
