English Small Ebony Candlestick

Hand-turned from solid ebony, this Edwardian candlestick has a near-black depth and density that feels immediately different from anything modern. Ebony was a prized material in the early 1900s, and you can sense why the moment you pick it up. It has a satisfying weight to it.

Dating to around 1905, the turning is clean and confident, the kind of work that comes from a craftsman who knew the material well.

Minor wear from its 120-plus years of life is present and expected. It reads as patina, not damage.

Works well as a standalone object on a mantle or shelf, or grouped with other dark wood pieces for a more considered display.
