English Oak Breakfront Sideboard With Brass Hardware

A substantial English oak sideboard dating to circa 1890, with a handsome breakfront form and beautifully figured wood throughout. The projecting center is fitted with three generous drawers, flanked by two paneled cupboard doors, each opening to reveal a spacious interior with a single shelf.

The warm oak has developed wonderful character with age, complemented by brass drawer pulls and round brass cupboard knobs. Turned bun feet and subtle molded details give the piece presence without feeling overly formal.

At nearly 75 inches long, it offers an impressive amount of storage while the shallower side sections keep the overall profile surprisingly refined. A versatile piece for a dining room or living space, or particularly striking beneath artwork in a wide entry or hallway.
