Somewhere in a Victorian kitchen, this little jelly mould was doing serious work, turning blancmange and cream into something worth talking about at the dinner table. Jelly moulds were the centrepiece of the Georgian and Victorian dessert spread, a way of showing both skill and hospitality. This one carries the satisfying weight of a piece made when craft still mattered.
The fluted, petal-like interior is beautifully formed, and that detail transfers directly onto whatever you set inside it. Some light age wear is present, honest and expected from a piece that actually earned its keep.
It displays beautifully on a kitchen shelf and pairs naturally with ironstone, transferware, or other collected Victorian kitchen pieces.
