Weston's Cider has been pressing scrumpy in Much Marcle, Herefordshire since 1880, and this pine bottle crate carries a quiet piece of that story. Built purely for function, it made countless journeys from orchard to pub, keeping glass bottles secure with slatted sides, reinforced corners, and internal dividers. Weston's has been a fixture of English cidermaking for generations, and crates like this were the unsung workhorses of that trade.
The pine has developed a warm, honest patina, and the Weston & Sons Ltd branding remains clearly legible, adding real character. Some wear is visible throughout, exactly what you'd expect from something that earned its keep.
It sits beautifully on a kitchen shelf, works as a wine carrier, and holds its own alongside other English country pieces.
